After six years home with my sons and the decade before spent working in finance, I recently raised the curtain on my “second act”. I’ve been in love with books and the places they live for as long as I can remember. In September (2011), I started a job as an librarian’s assistant at a local elementary school and have also committed to spending more time writing, here (mostly here) and elsewhere.
I read…a lot (erm, as of 12/22/11 not so much. Except.for other awesome WordPress blogs!) A lot, that is, for a mom to twin 9-year-olds and a spoiled husky mix! What am I reading (blogs!)? Check back and see. I catalog books I’ve read and/or owned on www.librarything.com, and I participate in their Early Reviewer program. I enjoy turning people on to books that I love, and I’m always looking for recommendations for my reading list.
And, when life with a capital “L” takes front stage, as it so often does (when doesn’t it? It’s like Frank Sinatra’s run in Vegas), I’ll be sharing that as well, hoping to sort my thoughts here in a concerted effort to stay out of the loony bin (so far so good!).
