I’ve seen something like this on Pinterest–where you put the finger paint on the paper and then the whole thing in a plastic bag for mess free finger painting. It seems to me to be beside the point. Finger painting is a sensory experience. If you didn’t want it to be messy, wouldn’t you just use markers or something? *shrugs*
I just keep seeing kids in bubbles when I think of the eventual end game here! What I do love, though, is the parents probably get pretty messy trying to “retrieve” the art and/or sponge supplies…
Gee doesn’t that look like a lot of fun? I can tell you though that my daughter could easily have found a way to make a mess with that. She just always seems to be there when paint, mud, or food flies. I remember getting a call from her daycare one day saying “now don’t panic when you pick Niki up, it just looks like she’s bleeding head to toe, but it’s only red food coloring”. Seems that No Nap Niki was standing next to one of the women while she was mixing a big plastic jug of red food coloring for shirts they were going to make. The top wasn’t on & when she shook it, the entire jug exploded & there was my daughter soaking it all up. It was in her pores, dribbles out the sides of her mouth… I mean the kid was covered.
Getting messy and paint all over the place is part of the fun 🙂 Wear old clothes and put some newspapers down. I also remember making potato stamps, that was fun too!
Yes! Potato stamps were awesome — on a totally random, yet related note, I just got this new chef’s knife that has, like, the center of it laser-ed out (?) to prevent that milky potato stuff from making it all sticky….I’ll let you know if it works!
Just SO wrong. Next thing you know, people will be strapping booties onto dog’s feet when they go out in the rain….WAIT…they already do….I file that kind of stuff under “the decline of civilization” — IMO!!

Life is messy and getting dirty is half the fun. Next they’ll invent, “stain free playing in the mud” I’ll pass.
I’m with you — stuff like catching crayfish in a creek in your bare feet should be mandatory rites of passage…

Nice!

Nice! I’m definitely interested to know what you think of it. It sounds pretty cool!
Doesn’t seem right, at all! The more mess the more fun!

Bwohaha and dress them up, too. It’s wrong, I know, but sooooooooo cute. *thinking pug dressed up as spider or cat dressed up as a melon*
Yes! Definitely a sign of the end times…
End of times can be a good thing though – get away with as much as possible and saying you’re making the best of the time you have, ha ha ha!
