Thanks! I’d have to attribute my “unusual” calm to being born out of doors and on my own for a few months. Just glad to be under a roof these days. Have a good day, ladies! Woof!
He (we) brag about it, because he has had a handful of other behavioral issues, as you know, but storms aren’t one of them. He would also rather die than have an accident in the house, so we’re pretty thankful for that, too!
After waking up at 3:00 am with Lola draped over me then sliding in dog drool on my way to the coffee pot, I’m kinda resenting that photo. Our big Berner used to flatten himself under my daughter’s bed but couldn’t get traction after the storm to get out & we’d have to lift the bed up for him. Our other Berner before him didn’t exactly panic but used to go into the laundry room, close the door behind him & ride out the storms. Guess Berners don’t like that thunder bouncing around in their big Berner heads.
My friend’s Swissy that I mentioned before, Loki, gets so scared that he shimmies under their bed, actually lifting it a bit, and then pees under the center of the bed! She says its totally like a poltergeist that also pees under your bed. 😉
OMG… I’m cracking up because I really can picture that only too well. I think I’d almost rather have Lola pee during storms since they don’t happen all that often or do what she does which is pee when people come to visit ;( Not a lot, just enough to let you know she’s happy to see you & you’re welcome in our home.
You are so brave! We hide when a storm comes. Great photo!

Yes, extra-special occasion peeing would definitely be preferable. Nice to know that it means guests are welcome, though.
Cutie pie! And so brave too! 🙂
Thank you! We like to focus on the positive, especially back when he was deep in his role as Captain Destruction around the house. 😉
