Breathing hard. Spastic movements – total lack of motor control. Can’t. Last. Much. Longer.
I didn’t eat a bad mushroom, and I’m not having a medical emergency.
It’s my first time playing Just Dance, on Wii, and I look like a fool, but I think I’m getting a good workout. In thirty minutes, I stepped on the dog twice and whacked the remote against the duct work bulkhead about five times. Call me Grace.
I picked it up, at Blockbuster, to mix up my workouts this week.
I’m still about a month out from my first 5K, and I was hitting the treadmill pretty regularly for a week or two, until I was sidelined by a mercifully brief stomach bug. After, I had a hard time getting motivated to get back to working out and was looking for something fun to try.
It rained almost all day today (I know, complaining after unseasonably gorgeous weather for the past two weeks). Perfect video game weather, though. The boys tried it with me, and we had a great time. We took turns choosing songs, which worked out pretty well….until Evan accidentally picked a song we’d never heard of…..
Power Rangers? I think SO. Total bonus abdominal workout laughing at each other. Can’t wait to do it again tomorrow, if the sun doesn’t come out…
We are SOOOOO getting this game! SPECTRONIZER!!!
It’s so much fun — and a great work (although the boys played a few rounds sitting on the couch….and BEAT me).
Thanks for stopping by and for following my blog!
A lot of Wii workout games are easy to “cheat” by moving your hands and sitting on the couch, but who are you really cheating? Today was Zumba Fitness day for me! Fun, fun, fun! Keep it up!
Totally. The boys could certainly verify that I danced my fool butt off yesterday and AGAIN today. I was SO sore this morning — calves, triceps, and obliques. Must be doing something right!
I’ve been wanting to try out that Wii stuff but I don’t watch tv so I don’t even know how to turn the tv on! I know it involves multiple clickers, hitting a lot of buttons in a certain sequence & then getting a black screen. Still have my old record collection & turntable though so I sometime put the vinyl on & rock & roll (with the shades down though).
At least you’re moving, right? That was one of my favorite workouts, when I could still lift the boys. They loved dancing around the kitchen to disco music!
I freaking love Just Dance for Wii and I am awesome at it, if I must say so myself 🙂 And I agree, it is a good workout. Although I usually am drunk when I’m doing it, so I’m probably just burning all those free carbs floating around my body.
Hilarious!! The fact is, I would probably be BETTER drunk – I’m all jerky when I do it with the kids!
